'Convince Myself' is the second single from Shrink Like Alice's debut album 'Apple in a Pear Tree'.

'Convince Myself' dives deep into how we view ourselves in todays society, and how we deal with our feelings. The track focuses a lot on outsourcing what we feel to external or social problems like Politics, instead of dealing with the source of our personal problems. How low self-esteem can lead to projecting our negative emotions about ourselves onto others.
While social media has given us a worldwide platform to connect with each other. It has also given us a lot of ways to compare ourselves to everybody else while creating a barrier between people that isn't present when we meet face to face. It is easy to misjudge people online and it is easy for others to misjudge you. We also get bombarded with news about how terrible things are while at the same time trying to deal with our own personal situations.
With the struggles people face just trying to get by in life, along with buried and ignored emotions. All while it seems the world is falling apart. You can easily find yourself questioning your own sanity, while believing the rest of the world is insane.
